Snyder, Aaron S., 92, formerly of East Earl, passed away peacefully to his eternal home on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, Narvon. His wife, Lydia W. (Martin) Snyder, preceded him in death in 2011. They were married 59 years at the time of her death.
Born in Voganville, he was the son of the late J. Eby and Mary (Shirk) Snyder. Aaron was a member of Christian Fellowship Church. He was a man of quiet faith, leaning on the Lord to face life's many challenges. Aaron's favorite verse was Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Aaron owned a furniture business. He was a self taught artist and well-known for his distinctive decorative Pennsylvania Dutch folk art painting on chairs, children's furniture, and other unique and treasured items. A car enthusiast, Aaron and his friends spent many hours in his garage restoring cars. He was also an accomplished drag car racer in the 50s and 60s. Aaron took pleasure in spending time with his loved ones at the family cabin. His great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are two daughters: Shirley married to Mark Siedhof, Narvon and Sharon married to Blair Hicks, Exton; two grandchildren: Clinton Siedhof and Kelly Siedhof; five siblings: Lena Martin, Katie Weaver, Paul Snyder, Esther Zimmerman, and Mabel Horning; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters: Rosella "Rosie" Snyder and Linda Snyder and four siblings: Anna Zimmerman, Edna Shirk, Norman Snyder, and Mary Newswanger.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center and AseraCare Hospice for their kind and compassionate care, especially his long-term caregiver, Minnie.
Honoring Aaron's wishes, funeral services will be private with interment in Christian Fellowship Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Srof, Wilma Eilene Pletcher, 87, of Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN died January 23, 2017 at the same place. She was born September 25, 1929 at Shattuck, Oklahoma to Byron and Gordie (Taliaferro) Pletcher. On June 14, 1956 at Perryton, Texas she was married to Lore Srof, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, Londa (Don) Switzer; Jana (Craig) Gingerich; Jody (Brenda) Srof; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Juanita Pletcher Dietz.
A sister, Margie Pletcher; and a brother, B.R. Pletcher, Jr. preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held January 28, 2017 at College Mennonite Church, Goshen, IN.
Stahly, Paul Devon "Pete"
Sept. 12, 1942 - Feb. 17, 2017
SARASOTA Fla. - Paul Devon “Pete” Stahly, 74, also of Goshen, passed away Friday, Feb. 17 in Sarasota, Fla., due to congestive heart failure.
He was born to Paul Daniel & Elise (Hostetler) Stahly on Sept. 12, 1942, in Wakarusa.
On Jan. 11, 1964, Pete married Patricia Metzler.
She survives along with their children Shelly (Brian) Sharkey and Craig (Nicole) Stahly, both of Goshen; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Ken) Williams, Brandon (Melissa) Sharkey, Drew and Ty Stahly; a great-grandson, Wyatt Sharkey; and two sisters, Esther (Leon) Farmwald, of Goshen and Darlene (Mark) Weaver, of Newton, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Weldy.
He retired from truck driving for NIBCO after 30 years. He was also a reserve police officer for the Goshen Police Dept from 1967-1990.
He enjoyed camping, being with family, visiting local coffee shops and collecting toy trucks.

Irene Z. Stauffer, 57 years, 7 months and 24 days, of Barnett, Missouri, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was born August 19, 1959 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Daniel and the late Emma S. Zimmerman.
She married Lester B. Stauffer, who survives of the home, on March 4, 1982 in Morgan County, Missouri.
She was a member of Hopewell Mennonite Church near Barnett.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father, Daniel and step-mother, Ada Zimmerman of Barnett, Missouri; six sons, Clair and Kathryn of Spencer, Tennessee, Eugene and Mabel of Barnett, Missouri, Marlin and Alma of Barnett, Missouri, Glen and Annie of Versailles, Missouri, Elvin and Anna Mary of Barnett, Missouri and David Lee of the home; a daughter, Regina of the home; two brothers, Edward and Ruth Ann Zimmerman of Emden, Missouri and Ruben and Nora Zimmerman of Barnett, Missouri; two sisters, Esther married Lewis Hoover of Latham, Missouri and Ruth married Raymond Shirk, Jr. of Barnett, Missouri; two step-brothers, Elvin and Lovina Zimmerman of Spencer, Tennessee and Curvin and Lowella Zimmerman of Barnett, Missouri; five step-sisters, Emma married Alvin Weaver of Barnett, Missouri, Lena married Edwin Zimmerman of Versailles, Missouri, Esther married Abel Leinbach of Versailles, Missouri, Ada Mae married John David Shirk of Barnett, Missouri and Mabel married Irvin Martin, Jr. of Barnett, Missouri; twenty-three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma and a step-sister, Annette (Mrs. Earl) Leinbach.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the family home and 9:30 a.m. in the Hopewell Mennonite Church with Raymond Shirk, Curvin Zimmerman, Raymond Stauffer and Leonard Martin officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Hoover, Lamar Zimmerman, Ivan Shirk, James Stauffer, Vernon Stauffer and Noah Stauffer. Interment will be in the Hopewell Mennonite Cemetery.

Stauffer, Janice M., 65, entered into rest, July 1, 2017, at Lancashire Hall, Lititz.
She was born in Ephrata, daughter of the late Ivan Z. Stauffer and the late Amanda (Martin) Stauffer.
Janice enjoyed playing piano, doing word-searches, getting her nails done, celebrating her birthday and holding babies. She loved cats, parakeets and guinea pigs. But, most of all she loved people, and her big smile and hugs (and her yelling) will be remembered by many. She was connected with Friendship Community, Lititz, for many years and also worked at Goodwill Industries, Lighthouse Rehabilitation, Occupational Development Center, and other places. Before living at Lancashire, Janice resided at Welsh Mountain Home, New Holland, for several years. The highlight of her summer for many years was a week at Camp Hebron, and the staff, especially the camp nurses, got to know her well. She also enjoyed going to community events with her mother and attending Grace Fellowship Church, Ephrata, of which she was a member.
She is survived by her brother, James, husband of Janine (Hackman) Stauffer of Ephrata, and sister, Joyce Stauffer of Akron; a niece, Jolyn (Stauffer), wife of Travis Wolf of Akron, and two great nephews, Ethan and Elliot Wolf.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 6 to 7 pm, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. 9th St., Akron, followed by her funeral service at 7 pm, with Mr. Andrew Maines officiating.

Stauffer, William W., 87, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.
He was born in West Earl Twp. to the late Jacob S. and Magdalena (Wenger) Stauffer and was the husband of Mary (Stauffer) Stauffer and the late Elva (Martin) Stauffer and the late Minnie (Sensenig) Stauffer.
He was a member of Stauffer Mennonite Church.
William retired from Big Dutchman, formerly Favorite Manufacturing.
In addition to his wife, William is survived by 4 children, Robert (Grace) Stauffer of New Holland, Marlene (Titus) Brubacker of Ephrata, Clyde (Pricilla) Stauffer of Port Trevorton, Delores (Ray) Brubacker of Ephrata; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a sister, Magdalena (Donald) Wenrich of Mohnton, 2 sisters-in-law, Arlene Stauffer of Bainbridge, OH and Mary Stauffer of Ephrata.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by 2 infant children, Charles and Minerva; a granddaughter, Darla Brubacker; 4 brothers, Paul, Ivan, Jacob and Mahlon and sisters, MaryAnn, Pricilla, Sarah, Susanna, Martha and Rachel.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the late residence, 2011 Division Highway, Ephrata, PA 17522. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 9:00 AM at the late residence with further services at 9:30 AM from the Stauffer Mennonite Church, 2530 Division Highway, Ephrata. Steiner, Oris Earl
1951-2017
APPLE CREEK -- Oris Earl Steiner, 66, of Apple Creek, passed away suddenly at his home on March 7, 2017.
He was born near Dalton on Jan. 18, 1951, to the late Samuel and Orpha (Neuenschwander) Steiner. He received the Lord as his personal Savior in his youth and was a member of Immanuel Fellowship Church.
Oris resided on his farm in Apple Creek for 27 years, growing crops, raising beef cattle, and was widely known as the founder and manager of Steinway Equipment in Kidron. His family brought him great joy and his 22 grandchildren held a special place in his heart.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy Good on Jan. 18, 1975, and together they had 12 children, Doretta (Joe Speicher) of Manns Choice, Pa., Leon (Rachel) of Wooster, Delores (Allen Summy) of Honduras, Central America, Ruby of the home and (fiance Joseph Ebersole), Kevin (Danielle) of North Lawrence, Konrad of the home, Renita of Honduras, Central America, Lyndon (Beth) of Wooster, Jolinda (Phillip Hochstetler) of Salisbury, N.C., Jenisa of Honduras, Central America, Orlyn (Heather) of Orrville and Orwyn (Caroline) of Minerva; 22 grandchildren; brothers, Wilbur, Irvin, Vilas, Clifford, Maynard and Olen; and sisters, Miriam, Arlene, Mary Ann and Esther.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his brother, John.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11 at 2:30 p.m. at Fairlawn Mennonite Church, 8520 Emerson Road, Apple Creek, with Alvin Mast officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Fellowship Cemetery. Stichter, Donald R.
Dec. 13,1931-Mar. 31, 2017
Donald R. Stichter departed this life to his heavenly home on March 31, 2017 at Hospice House surrounded by his family. He was bom December 13, 1931 in Royal Center, Indiana to Gordon and Esther (Good) Stichter.
On December 28, 1952 he married Evelyn Louise Brown in Wakarusa at Holdeman Mennonite Church. She survives along with six children, Karen Stichter of Wakarusa, Joe (Karen VanDyke) Stichter of Wakamsa, Becky (Tony) Brenneman of Broadway, Va., Charlotte Stichter of Silversprings, Maryland, Gordon (Lori) Stichter of Inglis, Fla., and Frank (Becky) Stichter of Goshen, Indiana along with 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Ralph and Loren and two sisters, Carolyn Graber and Lorene Schrock.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were two brothers, Leonard and Kenneth.
Don graduated from Breman High School in 1950 and did two years of 1W service at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson, Indiana. He farmed for 12 years then went into real estate and auctioneering. His last 20 years before retirement he was a bus driver for the Wa-Nee Schools.
He was a member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church and served for a term on the finance committee and with the Bible Memory Program. He also served on various service projects. Don was a faithful husband and father and enjoyed family time with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially taking them fishing.
His hobbies were restoring antique cars and tractors and he belonged to the Antique Car Restorers Club and 2 Cylinder Club.

ELKHART - Donald R. Stichter, 85, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, at Hospice House, Elkhart.
He was born Dec. 13, 1931.
On Dec. 28, 1952, he married Evelyn Louise Brown, in Wakarusa, at Holdeman Mennonite Church.
She survives along with six children, Karen Stichter and Joe (Karen VanDyke) Stichter, both of Wakarusa, Becky (Tony) Brenneman of Broadway, Virginia, Charlotte Stichter of Silversprings, Maryland, Gordon (Lori) Stichter, Inglis, Florida, and Frank (Becky) Stichter, Goshen.
There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 1:30 p.m. service Saturday, April 8, at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen.
According to his wishes, his body has been donated to Indiana University for medical research.
Stoltzfus, Katie B. Stoltzfus, 91, of Narvon, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the home of her son.
She was born January 9, 1926 in Lancaster Co. to the late Amos E. and Suvilla (Beiler) Stoltzfus.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
On November 8, 1945, she was married to John M. Stoltzfus, who passed away July 13, 2000. A daughter, Emma Blank also preceded her in death as well as a son-in-law, Elam Fisher.
Surviving are five sons: Ammon (Sarah) Stoltzfus, with whom she resided, Amos E. (Naomi) Stoltzfus, Loysville, PA, Erbie (Fannie) Stoltzfus, Ronks, Jonathan (Linda) Stoltzfus, Hooversville, PA and Isaac (Anna Mary) Stoltzfus, Swanton, MD and two daughters: Suvilla Fisher, Loysville, PA and Becky (David) Stoltzfus, Clymer, PA as well as a son-in-law Amos (Lizzie) Blank, Bird-in-Hand. Also surviving are 55 grandchildren, 116 great-grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 17 step great grandchildren, two sisters, Malinda Stoltzfus, McVeytown and a Sarah Blank, Honey Brook and a brother, Paul B. (Anna) Stoltzfus, Morgantown.
In addition to her husband, daughter, and son-in-law, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Kauffman, two brothers Jonathan Stoltzfus and Amos B. Stoltzfus 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held at the home of Ammon Stoltzfus, 2431 Conestoga Creek Rd., Narvon on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 9 a.m. Standard Time. Interment will be in Mast Cemetery. Friends may call from the time of this notice until the time of service.
Stone, George "Weir"
May 19, 1922 - March 11, 2017
ELKHART - The spirit of George Weir Stone, 94, of Elkhart and formerly of White Pigeon, Michigan, left his body after a period of declining health on Saturday, March 11, 2017, to go into the World of Light.
He was born May 19, 1922, in Elkhart, to Bessie and Charles Stone and married Rosa Bontrager on Feb. 14, 1945. She survives and they celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day.
Weir was an avid gunsmith and hunter and was still hunting racoon, deer, and wild turkeys into his 90s. His largest game trophy was a Cape Buffalo shot in Africa.
He was a supervisor at Elkhart (Indiana) Products, where he retired after 30 years.
He owned and operated trap shooting ranges for more than 58 years, including Boot Hill Trap Range, Elkhart Shooting Center and Wild Acres Sporting Clays and Trap Shooting in White Pigeon. He was a federal firearms dealer for more than 30 years.
He was a member of Belmont Mennonite Church.
When World War II broke out, he registered as a conscientious objector. He was first based in Missoula, Montana, as a parachute forest fighter, called a "smoke jumper." After marrying, he completed his service term working together with Rosa at a mental hospital in Rhode Island.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert, a sister, Jean Yoder, and his daughter, Janet Stone.
Surviving are two daughters, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The daughters are Barbara Stone of Millersburg, Ohio, who is married to Robert Alcorn, M.D., and Cindy Robinett of Mishawaka, who is married to Tom Robinett. The grandchildren are Elizabeth (Lamoni) Bryant, Ben Williams, Joseph Micah Williams, Joel (Vicki) Bosler-Kilmer, Sarah Courtemanche, Suzanne (DJ) Boverhuis, Paul (Jen) Robinett and Mindy (Scott) Doegler.
Viewing will be at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home at 403 W. Franklin St., Elkhart, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 17.
Additional viewing hours will be at Belmont Mennonite Church, 925 Oxford St., Elkhart, from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 18.
The funeral service will also be at Belmont Mennonite Church at 4 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Larry Rohrer and the Rev. Thomas Miller, a longtime family friend, officiating.

CROGHAN/NAUMBURG- Carol E. Streeter, 83, of William Street, Croghan, formerly of NYS Route 410, Naumburg, passed away Saturday evening, December 9, 2017 at Upstate Medical University Hospital Syracuse.
The funeral will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, New Bremen, 8383 State Route 812, Lowville, NY, with Ed Steckly, Pastor, officiating. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday December 15, 2017, prior to the funeral, at the church. Spring burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery Annex, Beaver Falls. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee in c/o First Mennonite Church P.O. Box 417 Lowville, NY 13367. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home Inc. Lowville.
Carol E. Streeter was born May 29, 1934 in Carthage, NY, daughter of the late Seth and Mary Lehman. She attended Beaver Falls High School and graduted in 1951. Following gradution, she attended the Watertown School of Commerce and later became employed at Climax Mfg. Company, Castorland as Payroll Clerk.
She was married to Clifton J. Streeter on April 5, 1953 at the Evangelical Untied Brethren Church, Beaver Falls with Reverend Norman Pusey, officaiting. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Leesville, LA. and Manhattan, KS, where Mr. Streeter served in the Armed Forces. In 1955, the couple moved back to Lewis County and purchased their first home in Naumburg, NY. In 1997, the couple moved to their present home in Croghan.
At that time, Mrs. Streeter was employed at the J.P. Lewis Co., Beaver Falls, as a Receptionist and Swithboard Operator. In later years, she also worked at the Carthage Machine Co., Carthage, NY and Beaverite Products Inc., Beaver Falls in Cost Accounting and Receptionist retiring in 1993.
Through her high school years, Mrs. Streeter played her accordian at school functions and variety shows. In 1950, she formed a band “The Fancy Four” with three friends, entertaing at community events for several years. Throughout the years, she continued to visit hospitals and nursing homes to share her music with the shut-ins.
As a couple, the Streeters enjoyed traveling, taking yearly bus trips to many interesting places. They also collected antiques and collectibles attending estate and garage sales.
Mrs. Streeter enjoyed knitting, interior decorating, and helping with community events, especially the Red Cross Blood Mobiles. She was a member of the Croghan American Legions Auxiliary Post #1663, the Lewis County Hospital Auxiliary, the Beaver River Senior Citizens, and the Beaver Falls United Methodist Church serving as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also the President of sewing circle at the First Mennonite Church in New Bremen.
Surviving besides her husband, Cliff of 64 years, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Kim and Valerie of Rome, NY; Kerry and Lisa of Clay, NY; four grandchildren, Michael Streeter of Ontario, NY, Rebecca Simpson of Rome, NY, Nicole and Ryan Streeter of Clay, NY; three great-grandchildren;a brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Ernestine Lehman of Lititz, PA; a sister and a brother-in-law, Karen and Michael VerSchneider of Croghan,NY; nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Douglas Eldwin Strite,19, and Lemuel Donald Strite,14, of Mercersburg, passed away*, Monday, July 10, 2017.
Douglas was born December 24, 1997 in Hagerstown, MD, and Lemuel was born May 4, 2003 in Greencastle. They were the sons of Donald Elwood Strite and Rosalie Joy (Burkholder) Strite of Mercersburg.
Along with his father, Douglas was employed with Ag Equipment Specialties. He was a member of the Clear Spring Mennonite Church. Lemuel was attending Shady Grove Mennonite School and also attended Clear Spring Mennonite Church.
Besides their parents they are survived by five sisters, Amy J. Strite, Audrey J. Strite, Laverne D. Strite, Lillie D. Strite, Janetta L. Strite; three brothers, Dallas E. Strite, Jeremy C. Strite, and Jeffry C. Strite all of Mercersburg; maternal grandparents, Chester D. and Lois M. Burkholder of Hagerstown, MD; maternal great-grandfather, Verne I. Lehman of Hagerstown, MD; paternal grandparents, Elwood P. and Iva M. Strite of Hagerstown, MD; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
They were preceded in death by a brother, Lowell D. Strite.
Services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 10 a.m., at the Clear Spring Mennonite Church, Clear Spring, MD, with the church ministry officiating. Family will receive friends at the Clear Spring Mennonite Church on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at the Clear Spring Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Stuckey, Max Eugene, 73, of Archbold, Fulton Co., OH died September 8, 2017 at Toledo, Lucas Co., OH. He was born January 8, 1944 at Archbold to Denver and Frances Stuckey. He was married to Sharon Stuckey, who survives.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Jordan (Amanda) Stuckey; six grandchildren, Sisters: Charlene (Jamie) Beck; Sara (Paul) McFarland; Brother: David Stuckey; Sister-in-law: Cathie (Bud) Stuckey; Cindy (Steven) McIntosh.

Surviving are his parents, siblings, Brian Stutzman, Jerolyn & Dave Urbach, Jyl & Todd Godwin, and a step-daughter, LaNeisha Gray-Sawyer.

TOPEKA - Fannie Stutzman, 99, of Topeka, died at her daughter’s residence in Fredonia, Kentucky, Thursday afternoon, June 22, 2017.
She was born on May 10, 1918, in Thomas, Oklahoma, to Joni and Susan (Miller) Yoder. On Jan. 27, 1937, she married Noah Stutzman.
Surviving are three daughters, Fern Miller of Kentucky, Tillie Troyer of California, Edith Petersheim of Topeka; two sons, Herman Stutzman of Kansas, Delbert Stutzman of Shipshewana; 30 grandchildren, 153 great grandchildren, 19 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 2 sons-in-law, David Yoder and Jerry Troyer; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Visitation is after 2 p.m. Sunday, June 25 and all day Monday, June 26 at the family residence, 4145 S. 675 West, Topeka. Funeral services are at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, also at the family residence. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.

ELKHART - Joseph “Joe” L. Stutzman 80, passed away on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017.
He was born on March 13, 1937, in Nappanee to Levi D. and Emma C. (Hochstetler) Stutzman.
He is survived by his sisters, Lydia Mae (Milo) Hochstetler, Nappanee, Annie Stutzman, Michigan, Fannie (Eldon) Yoder, Kentucky, and Sylvia (Victor) Kohler, Nappanee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers Harvey, William, Eli, Alvin, and Roman Stutzman, and 3 sisters, Barbara Helmuth, Lizzie Troyer, and Mary Yoder.
Friends and family may call from 12 – 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, until the 2 p.m. funeral service, also at the funeral home. Bishop John Miller, of Sandy Ridge Mennonite Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Union Cemetery.

MIDDLEBURY - Kenneth Jay Stutzman, 74, of Middlebury, died Friday, Aug. 18, [2017].
He was born May 22, 1943 to Harry, Sr. and Ida (Miller) Stutzman.
April 2, 1964 he married Erma P. Miller, she survives.
Survivors are four daughters; 17 grandchildren; a great grandson; three sisters; five brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister; two granddaughters; two brothers-in-law.
Visitation is 1 – 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 20, and 1- 4 and 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 21, at Townline Mennonite Church, 2165 S. 1000 W. Shipshewana.
There is one hour of visitation prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, Goshen.
Burial will be in Miller-Glick-Stutzman Cemetery, Middlebury.

LAGRANGE - Marlene M. Stutzman, 70, of LaGrange, died, Friday, Oct. 6, 2017.
She was born June 6, 1947, in Sturgis, Michigan, to Willard and Clara (Miller) Gerber.
She married Jay Stutzman. He preceded her in death April 19, 2009.
Surviving Marlene are her three children, Jeff Stutzman of Goshen, Jennifer (Clifford) Lloyd Jr. of Sturgis and Jason (Amira) Stutzman of Arlington Heights, Illinois.; four grandchildren, Connor Lloyd, Christian Lloyd, Ruby Stutzman and Jasper Stutzman; and two brothers, Richard (Myrna) and Phil (Tamra) Gerber.
Funeral services will be at Shore Mennonite Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Burial will take place in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Visitation will be at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, LaGrange, from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Swartley, Steven, 69, of Silverdale, PA died March 2, 2017 at the same place. He was born June 22, 1947 at Quakertown, Bucks Co., PA to Vernon and Dorothy Swartley. He was married to Ruth Rice, who survives.
Surviving are children, Jon Swartley, wife Kris Anne of Hilltown, Pa; Shana Reinford, husband Rick of Quakertown, Pa; five grandchildren, sisters: Deborah Stauffer, husband Russell; Joy Sawatzky, husband Walter, Cindy Mast, husband Daniel; sister-in-law Nancy Swartley.
A brother, Vernon Lee Swartley preceded him in death.

Steven Swartley
Steven Swartley of Silverdale, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at his home. He was 69.
He was the loving husband of Ruth (Rice) Swartley for 48 years.
Born in Quakertown, he was a son of the late Vernon and Dorothy (Detweiler) Swartley. Steve graduated from Bluffton College, Class of 1969 with a bachelor's degree in business.
Steve along with his son, Jon, owned Penn Builders, Inc., and worked as a general contractor with valued relationships of respect and integrity with employees, sub-contractors, and owners.
Steve served on boards and committees with Deep Run East Mennonite Church, Franconia Mennonite Conference, and Silverdale Borough. He was a long-term member of the Grand View Hospital Board of Trustees for 20 years, chairing the building committee for 14 of those years.
Surviving with his wife are his son, Jon Swartley, wife Kris Anne of Hilltown; daughter, Shana Reinford, husband Rick of Quakertown; grandchildren, Heidi, Benjamin, Micah, Sierra, and Owen; sisters, Deborah Stauffer, husband Russell, Joy Sawatzky, husband Walter, and Cindy Mast, husband Daniel; and sister-in-law, Nancy Swartley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon L. Swartley.
Steve deeply loved his family. His five grandchildren brought special joy into his life. He was the happiest spending time with them at the cabin in Bradford County. Steve also enjoyed both golfing and hunting with his friends, thriving on the competition and challenge they offered.
A visitation will be held from 6:39 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Deep Run East Mennonite Church, 350 Kellers Church Road, Perkasie. A memorial service celebrating Steve's life will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at the church, with visitation after the service.

Surviving are children, Colette Garcia (David), Angela Thomas (Robert), Lisa Zetah (Thomas), and Teresa Leichty (Joel); six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A sister, Lucille Brenneman preceded him in death.

GOSHEN - Emma Swartzentruber, 92, of Goshen, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017.
She was born Nov. 9, 1924, to Henry B. and Esther Yoder.
She married Enos Swartzentruber. He died in 2007.
Surviving are daughters Esther Hershberger, Carol Scribner, Mary Swartzentruber, Becky Yoder, Rhoda Hochstedler and Alma Yoder; son Dale Swartzentruber 12 Grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers Jonas, John. Lester and Henry Yoder and sister Alma Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter Naomi Swartzentruber; three sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 3 - 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury.
There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Monday, Aug. 14, at Griner Mennonite Church, Middlebury.

Evelyn Sheryl Swartzentruber, 33 of Kalona, died in her home on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Sharon Bethel Church in rural Kalona. Burial was in the Haven Cemetery.
Evelyn was born March 27, 1984 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of James Arlin and Fannie N. (Miller) Swartzentruber. Evelyn had her special needs. It was a privilege to care for her.
Evelyn is survived by her parents: James and Fannie Swartzentruber of Kalona; four brothers: Titus and wife Anna of Wellman, David and wife Kathleen of Kalona, William and wife Dorothy of Plad, Mo., John and wife Wanda of Port Republic, Va.; 20 nieces and nephews: Kendall, Krystal, Ruthann, Darlis, Melissa, Karmen, Paul, Devin, Sharita, Vincent, Everett, Annthea, Annette, Larena, Lavon, Corwin, Curvin, Sharlou, Rochelle, Karesa; and grandparents: Eldon and Katie Swartzentruber of Va.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Daniel; a niece: Jewel; grandmother: Eldora Swartzentruber; and grandparents: Noah and Lydia Miller.
